Whites:

Maeli Bianco Infinito 2016, Fior d'Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG, Veneto, Italy

This organic Moscato Giallo (Yellow Muscat) comes from the volcanic and chalky hills of Veneto's Colli Euganei DOCG at an altitude of 250m. The 7-15 year old vines were fermented with native yeast, and the wine is unfined and unfiltered. Magnolia, orange blossom and meadow herbs are graced with slight nuances of sweet citrus.

Szászi Birtok Rózsakó 2018, Badasconyi, Hungary

Highly perfumed, with rosewater, gooseberry, honeysuckle and lime pith, this Rózsakó has an oily, textural base, reminiscent of Gewürztraminer. The lime leaf and star anise spicing makes this pop, along with a fine grip along the palate. Grown exclusively in the Badasconyi region, Rózsakó is a cross between Kéknyelű and Budai Zöld.

Azores Wine Co. Arinto dos Açores 2018, Pico DO, Portugal

Arinto dos Açores is a unique grape native to the Azores, unrelated to mainland Portugal's Arinto. These vines are planted in the rock cracks at the foothills of the volcanic mountain, almost touching the ocean. The vineyards are protected from the strong salty marine breezes by rock walls known as currais. Tight and crunchy with green apple, lemon pith, green hedge on a vibrant, mouth-watering palate, this rings of marine minerality, with the salinity lingering far after the last sip. Unique and characterful beauty.

Reds:

Azores Wine Co. Tinto Vulcanico 2018, IG Açores, Portugal

This old vine blend of Aragonês, Agronómica, Castelão, Malvarisco, Merlot, Touriga Naçional, Saborinho, Syrah and others comes from 13 vineyards 5-30+ years old. After whole bunch pressing, this was fermented and aged in stainless. Wild and saline and fresh with red currants, herbal plum, pink peppercorn spice, sapid florals, woven with gentle waves of reduction to a fresh finish. Tannins are soft, and acidity is bright. Serve with a chill.

Elena Fucci SCEG 2018, Aglianico del Vulture DOC, Basilicata, Italy

In 2016, Elena Fucci, responsible for saving her family’s high altitude, volcanic soiled vineyards and solidifying the appellation with her singular Titolo cru, began another passion project, called SCEG, to help out friends of her 94 year old grandfather Generoso. In order to preserve their vines and tradition, she makes this special wine from his friends’ vines, in four parcels near her family’s vineyards, and vines aging 70+ years. SGEC (pronounced Sheg) is organically farmed Aglianico, spending one year in 500L tonneaux and 6 months in bottle prior to release. Fresh and bright, this youthful medium+ wine is ready to drink now, with ample ripe cherry, dried thyme, and minerality throughout.

Maeli Rosso Infinito 2017, Colli Euganei DOC, Veneto, Italy

Maeli is owned by the 21st generation of Bisol brothers, Gianluca and Desiderio, and is nestled in the Euganean Hills’ volcanic, chalky slopes. The organic winery is directed by winemaker Elisa Dilavanzo. This organic blend of Merlot, Carmenere, and Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the volcanic and chalky hills of Veneto's Colli Euganei. After a native ferment, 30% of the wine was aged in neutral oak barrels, with the remainder in stainless and cement tanks. Deeply coloured, this youthful, energetic, and rich Italian red is full of fragrant dark mulberry, violet, fresh basil, and dark chocolate spicing on a deep palate
