Tasting Notes

In the Morvan Mountains of Burgundy, Valentin Montanet has expanded the family domaine to a negociant branch, named La Soeur Cadette, or “Little Sister.” Using organically farmed fruit from trusted grower friends throughout Burgundy and the Beaujolais, he is creating more awareness around the potential for organic farming. The Bourgogne Blanc comes from 25 year old vines in limestone laced northern Maconnais, and includes a splash (2%) of the rarely seen Chardonnay Musqué. Crisp, crunchy, and fresh, this carries lovely lifted lime blossom, green apple, kisses of gooseberry, and bright lemon peel and pith on the juicy palate.
