Tasting Notes

A crunchy, crushable red, juicy, salty, and plump with an abundance of red fruit and licorice. Offering an appealing saltiness, supple tannins and ease of drinkability. A notable example of the value that exists in Campo de Borja stemming from old fruit at challenging heights and slopes.

This project is part of the new wave of lighter, fresher more vibrant Spanish Garnachas with high drinkability but also genuine flavour, richness, and length.

El Casetero is a project from rising star Fernando Mora, MW who is working with old, dry-farmed, head-trained Garnacha in the legendary Campo de Borja region of Spain. The results are both extraordinary and extraordinarily well-priced.
