Description
Manually harvested, yield approx 2.5 Tons/acre. The harvest from 2 vineyard blocks is cold macerated for 7 days on skins and 2 separate blocks undergo 9 days of post-ferment maceration. A third vineyard block undergoes 12 days of post-ferment maceration. Fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts in a combination of steel tanks and concrete vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out spontaneously in barrels. 50% of the wine is aged 8 months in barrels.

Climate: Cool, sunny days and cold mountain nights.
Soil: Poor sandy soils with round, calcareous rocks.

Taste
A beautiful example of cool climate Malbec with a dark purple colour, rich and dark black fruit flavours and delicate violet notes, very typical of the La Consulta terroir. Opens intensely on the palate with generous bright black fruit, excellent balance and length.
