Tasting Notes

Tselepos' 2012 version of the Moschofilero grape from Mantinia in the Peloponnese is a wonderfully fresh and fragrant wine, one of the best yet from this reliable producer. The nose is like a cross between riesling and gewurztraminer with a splash of peachy viognier, with aromas running the spectrum from citrus to pear, peach, apricot, fruit blossoms and mineral. The palate is more riesling-like, bone dry, crisp, with a touch of CO2 to add to the fresh sensation, and low alcohol (12%). Lingering perfumed finish.
