Tasting NotesThe Bonnet-Huteau estate is located in the heart of Muscadet and the Sèvre et Maine appellation area. It has been producing Muscadet for more than 150 years on the site of a medieval residence which was at the origin of the commune of Chapelle-Heulin The Château La Tarcière is located in the heart of Muscadet and the Sèvre appellation area and Maine. The Bonnet-Huteau family has operated the 40 hectare vineyard for 4 generations. It strives to develop the full range of flavors of high expression of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine and to express the minerality of each terroir: gneiss, mica schists, amphibolite and granite. Viticulture that respects the soil and nature (plowing, organic fertilization, treatment based on plant stimulants, certified “organic farming” since 2005) is evolving towards biodynamic practices. Limiting yields and manual harvesting followed by slow pressing allow fermentation with the natural yeasts of the grapes. The Muscadet Bonnet-Huteau, bottled after aging on the lees with a low dose of sulphites, invite you without moderation to discover the Nantes vineyard. |

It is light to medium bodied, again quite fruity on the palate with a touch of sweetness, very good acidity and overall freshness. One the least austere Muscadet of late, and very appealing.
