Critical Praise2009 First Drop Jr Gantos
The 2009 JR Gantos Quinta do Sul is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Touriga Nacional. Deep garnet colored with a touch of purple, it presents aromas of ripe mulberries, warm plums and black currant cordial with underlying earthy / meaty hints plus sandalwood and baking spices. Full bodied and densely packed with expressive berry flavors, the very crisp acid provides a nice lift and it’s well textured with medium to firm grainy tannins. The finish is long and spicy.
