Tasting Notes

Blend of 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, Ciligiolo.

Fermented in stainless steel, then matured in steel tanks and medium size oak barrels.

The wine is medium bodied, with reasonably dense tannin texture and balanced acidity. Good volume, with mineral and spicy notes on a long finish.

Azienda Agricola Lanciola is situated just outside of Florence on the rolling hills of Impruneta, near Pozzolatico, in the “Colli Fiorentini” production area. It is immersed in the tuscan countryside among olive-groves, cypress trees and vineyards.

The estate totals 80 hectares, 40 hectares of which are planted to vine, with the remainder devoted to olive groves.

The estate has enjoyed an illustrious past: in Medicean times, it belonged to the noble Ricci family. These owners were responsible for setting up the estate’s early farming and winemaking activities.

The goal of the present owners, the Guarnieri family, has been to maximize the use of the land, while respecting what nature has given them.
