Tasting Notes

Manually harvested, yield approx 2.5 Tons/acre. The harvest from 2 vineyard blocks are cold macerated for 7 days on skins and 2 separate blocks undergo 9 days of post-ferment maceration. A third vineyard block undergoes 12 days of post-ferment maceration. Fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts in a combination of steel tanks and concrete vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out spontaneously in barrels. 50% of the wine is aged 8 months in barrels.

Vineyard location: La Consulta - Uco Valley - 1,200 meters above sea level

Taste: A beautiful example of cool climate Malbec with a dark purple colour, rich and dark black fruit flavours and delicate violet notes, very typical of the La Consulta terroir. Opens intensely on the palate with generous bright black fruit, excellent balance and length.

Cellaring Potential: 15 years
